What this website collects

Almost nothing. There are no cookies, no forms, no advertising trackers, and no accounts.

The short version

Cookies None. This site sets no cookies of any kind, which is why you were not asked to accept any.

Forms None. There is nothing on this site to fill in. Contact is by email or phone, on your initiative.

Advertising trackers None. No advertising pixels, no remarketing tags, no social media trackers, and nothing that follows you to other sites.

Server logs Like every web server, ours records each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referring page, and browser user-agent. This is used to keep the site running and to see roughly how many people visit. It is not linked to any identity.

Google Fonts Typefaces load from Google's font service, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads. This is the site's only third-party request. We are intending to self-host the fonts and remove it.

If you email or call us

Then we obviously have whatever you tell us — your name, your contact details, and whatever you share about the property you are asking about. We use it to answer you and, if you engage us, to research and file your claim.

We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for marketing. Claim information is shared only with the state holding the property, and only in order to file the claim you asked us to file.

How long we keep things

Server logs are kept only as long as they are useful for running the site. Correspondence and claim records are kept for as long as the claim is live and afterwards for as long as we are required to, then deleted.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email marco@claimsandrecovery.com or call (914) 260-8013 and we will deal with it.

If we ever add analytics, this page will be updated to say exactly what it collects before it goes live — not afterwards.
